Beginning June 20, instructors will work with adult players to improve their strokes and competitive play. The league meets 11am-12:30pm on Saturday.

The adult USTA summer league signup has started, and many of the teams are already full. If you are still interested in joining a team, please contact the front desk as soon as possible. Anne Snell, the USTA coordinator for HVTC, will try to place you on the proper team. Matches start in mid-May.

Nine members of the Huron Valley 65+ 8.0 team accepted a wildcard invitation to participate in the National 65+ 8.0 Invitational in Surprise, Arizona, in March. Team representatives were: Ann Munro, Deb Crosby, Ann Holz, Karen Caine, Janet Remen, Kathy Green, Leslie McGowan, Sheri Hays, and Judy Silverman. Rosie Wright, Marie Fletcher, and Helen Peters were unable to attend.

The team beat a Washington, D.C., team representing the Mideast conference 2-1 to win their opening match. In the next three matches they lost to Hawaii, Texas, and Minnesota (Northern) but played good competitive matches in the 90-degree heat with not a cloud in the sky.

The final Mixed Doubles Night of the season is Friday, April 17, 7–9 pm. All 3.0–4.0 players are invited to join us for tennis and partying. We play three rounds of tennis; everyone brings a potluck snack and their own beverage for socializing afterward. Please call the front desk to sign up (individually or as a team).
