Response to Emergency Order

In response to Governor Whitmer’s newest Emergency Order, HVTC is making the changes outlined below.  These changes will be effective for the three weeks beginning Wednesday, November 18, at 12:01 am and ending Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at 11:59 pm.

1) You may play singles with any member or guest.  You may play doubles only if partners are from the same household.

2) You may continue to take private lessons.  The pros will teach semi-private lessons with two students as long as the students remain on opposite sides of the net.  Two students from one household may be on the same side of the net.

3) We are suspending all junior programs.

4) We are suspending all doubles league play. Singles leagues will continue to meet.

5) We are suspending all seasonal court time.  Please call the club if you would like to reserve your court for singles or for doubles with partners from the same household.

6) Masks must be worn at all times, including while playing.

We hope that these restrictions will be lifted after three weeks, but that is dependent upon how diligently we all follow the directions we have been given in all aspects of our daily lives. We thank you for being  responsible members of our Club and your communities.

Important Notice for Juniors

For the protection and safety of our players and staff, we are requesting that all
Junior Excellence players wear masks while playing in the groups this session. We
will re-evaluate this policy as conditions change. Thank you!

Also, parents please refrain from watching the groups from the lobby. We are
attempting to keep traffic low in this area and appreciate your cooperation.

Thank you,
HVTC Management

New Court Assignment Policy

In an effort to provide more distance between reserved courts, we will no longer use court #5 when booking indoor courts. This will eliminate the possibility of having activity on both neighboring courts. Exception: We reserve the right to use court #5 if it allows us to space all courts with a vacant court on each side. Instructional groups will continue to use all available courts.

Other Indoor Reminders!

  1. Return stray balls with a kick or by guiding them with your racket. Do not
    pick up neighboring balls.
  2. Maintain 6 or more feet of distance from customers in the lobby.
  3. Masks must be worn at all times except while on your court.
  4. Please address the reception staff from behind the plexiglass guard. We
are finding that there is a tendency for customers to seek a space without
    obstruction.

Parents, please drop off your players and pick them up after their
lesson/court time. We are attempting to reduce lobby traffic.

Thank you!
