Under the January 13, 2021 MDHHS Epidemic Order, players must continue to wear masks during play but the required distance between players of different households has been reduced from 12 feet to 6 feet. You may now reserve courts for doubles play. Semi-private lessons may now have up to 4 players on court.
We plan to resume programs* and all seasonal court time on February 15, 2021. Although this is later than we had hoped, we would like to monitor the impact of a new, more contagious COVID-19 strain that is now circulating in Washtenaw County. The safety of our members, guests, and staff is our first priority.
*Junior Excellence classes, Adult Doubles Leagues, B1,2,3 Team practices, Men’s and Women’s Night, Adult Super Excellence. We are not currently offering Adult and Junior clinics.
We reiterate our request that parents drop off kids for lessons and court time. We appreciate your cooperation in keeping our lobby unoccupied. Thank you!

Club Update
Dear HVTC Members
The extension of Governor Whitmer’s mandated pause has forced us to push back our dates for resumption of programs. Some important things to know:
- Monday, February 1, will now be the first day of adult and junior group programming. Registration for these groups has begun!
- All players must wear a mask on and off court.
- All play is limited to singles. Doubles may be played if members of the same household are on the same side of the net.
Please continue to monitor our Facebook page and this website for changes to scheduling or playing restrictions.
Thank you again for your patience and compliance this year.
We wish you safe and happy holidays.

COVID Protocols Update
Dear HVTC Family,
We hope you are staying healthy.
Thank you for your continuing patience and cooperation. As you know, effective November 18, HVTC implemented changes to programming and playing protocols to help minimize the spread of COVID-19. You may view these protocols here.
Out of an abundance of caution, these programming and protocol changes will remain in effect until at least Sunday, January 3, 2021. Please watch for updates here and on our Facebook page.
Please stay safe and enjoy the holidays.

Response to Emergency Order
In response to Governor Whitmer’s newest Emergency Order, HVTC is making the changes outlined below. These changes will be effective for the three weeks beginning Wednesday, November 18, at 12:01 am and ending Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at 11:59 pm.
1) You may play singles with any member or guest. You may play doubles only if partners are from the same household.
2) You may continue to take private lessons. The pros will teach semi-private lessons with two students as long as the students remain on opposite sides of the net. Two students from one household may be on the same side of the net.
3) We are suspending all junior programs.
4) We are suspending all doubles league play. Singles leagues will continue to meet.
5) We are suspending all seasonal court time. Please call the club if you would like to reserve your court for singles or for doubles with partners from the same household.
6) Masks must be worn at all times, including while playing.
We hope that these restrictions will be lifted after three weeks, but that is dependent upon how diligently we all follow the directions we have been given in all aspects of our daily lives. We thank you for being responsible members of our Club and your communities.
Session 3 for Juniors
